The man accused of murdering Christchurch teenager Marie Davis has been ordered to stand trial.

Road worker Dean Stewart Cameron, 38, is charged with raping and murdering 15-year-old Davis in April this year.

A depositions hearing wrapped up in Christchurch on Monday.

The teen's body was was discovered in the Waimakariri River on April 17.

She was last seen being dropped off by a friend's mother at her home in Papanui early on the night of April 5.

A trial date  will be set next month.
