A forestry worker has died after being struck on the head by a branch near Te Haroto, 69 kilometres northwest of Napier, about 8am Friday.
The man was dead by the time the rescue helicopter arrived, a Hawke's Bay Helicopter Rescue Trust spokeswoman said.
