Man charged with murder after body found

A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a body of another man was found in the Auckland suburb of Balmoral today.

The body of the 36-year-old man was found at a Balmoral Rd property.

A scene examination is underway and expected to continue for some days.

Police say it is unclear how well the two men knew each other but both were residents at the address, one more recently than the other.

Next of kin of the deceased are in the process of being notified.

The murder accused will appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow.
