Residents of a Manukau suburb are disgusted over a messy problem in their area.
A makeshift rubbish tip has suddenly developed after the Manukau City Council failed to collect the inorganic collection that was scheduled for last week.
"It's a bit of an eyesore, it's not very nice for the area" says local resident Lincoln Hopkins.
Neighbours told ONE News the rubbish had accumulated quickly. From Thursday to Sunday the amount and smell have increased dramatically
"It's taking a long time and the longer they wait the more dumping that's going to arrive," says Lisa May.
The council has told ONE News the site will be cleared by Monday but local residents are still angry that it was allowed to happen.
