You can expect something a little bit different when you get your mail on Monday morning.
It's bright, it's colourful and it's just your old postie after a bit of a makeover.
Whether pounding the pavements or pushing the pedals, the mail's makeover has delivered good news to posties like Suzy Heazlewood and Frank Wade - new uniforms they say are smart, practical and more sporty.
Posties have worn the old uniforms for nine years and say the new locally-designed look is a million miles away from the drab old days.
The high visibility ensemble is also easier for drivers to spot, making posties feel safe.
Being a postie is not exactly a stroll. Posties cover an average of 12 kilometres a day on foot or 22 k's by bike. No wonder the new uniform's a big deal.
"Overall the total cost is cheaper than the current version, but it's still a significant amount of money," says Peter Fenton, Postal Services Chief Executive.
