Firefighters were called to the set of The Hobbit this afternoon after a large generator caught fire.
Four fire engines and a command vehicle were at the scene on Shelly Bay Road on the Miramar Peninsula.
The fire was on an old military track near to the site of the old Mt Crawford prison.
The generator is roughly the size of a shipping container, but the fire was put out with no-one being injured.
Extra filming for the second part of the Hobbit trilogy has been underway since the end of May.
The woodland area is understood to be being used for night filming.
