Kuia Lady Morrison has celebrated her 72nd birthday by completing the New York Marathon.
It is the first time Lady Morrison has visited New York or competed in the city's marathon.
Lady Morrison describes completing the event as "the hardest marathon I've ever done."
She also spoke of the spiritual support she received from her late husband, Sir Howard Morrison.
"He was always behind me in my training, and my running."
Although Lady Morrison didn't come first, she says it was more about finishing the marathon than winning.
"We're right at the back, so it's, you know, take our time," Lady Morrison told ONE News.
Over 43,000 people took part in the annual marathon that takes place over 42 kilometres.
