A New Zealand man has died in an accident at a copper mine in Australia.
Australian media says New Zealand resident Jordan Taurima died late yesterday morning while working for Incitec Pivot in Queensland's Mount Isa.
Taurima was a former Waikato rugby representative and the Hautapu sports club has sent its prayers and thoughts to Jordan's family
Several investigations are under way into the accident at Xstrata Mount Isa Mines' copper smelter.

says Taurima was fatally injured in an area adjacent to the smelter.
Exact details of the accident remain unclear as both explosives and fertiliser company Incitec Pivot and Xstrata Mount Isa Mines together with the Queensland police and the Department of Mines continue their investigations, ABC reported.
