The Christchurch jury in the police bribery and corruption case has asked a second question.

The Crown says former police constable Nathan Connolly Connolly got free sex from a sex worker by threatening her with traffic tickets.

The defence denies there were any threats.

The jury returned to the courtroom just after midday Tuesday to ask the judge exactly what the charge of bribery meant.

The jury was reminded to consider whether or not there was a link between Connolly's official police duties and the offer of free sex.

On Monday, the jury quizzed the judge on the dates of the allegations.

The jury members went home on Monday night after deliberating for two hours following closing addresses from the Crown and defence.
