Investigations after construction site death

Investigations have been launched into the second death at a south Auckland construction site.

The accident happened late on Wednesday afternoon at the Lion Nathan breweries in Flat Bush.

The worker was crushed to death after a shipping container fell on top of him.

It is the second tragedy to strike the project.

In February, a worker was killed by falling steel.

Victim Support staff are giving counseling the man's co-workers.

Police and the Department of Labour are investigating.
