A fire which broke out at a multi-storey building in downtown Auckland is being treated as suspicious.
The Anzac Ave fire broke out just after midday and has now been put out.
At its height, the blaze sent plumes of smoke into the sky which could be seen from across the city.

Sixteen fire engines responded to the blaze.
Fire communications said the building is not usually occupied by people, but that it is used as a carpark and is often frequented by "street kids".
A search and rescue operation was launched but the Fire Service said it does not appear anyone was trapped.
The street was closed off to allow fire crews to battle the fire, but it has now reopened.
