Homicide inquiry into BoP death

Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man's body was found dead in the Matahi Valley near Taneatua in the eastern Bay of Plenty.

The 45-year-old deceased man was found by police after being called to a domestic incident involving another family member, according to Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Standen.

Standen says police are talking to the other man involved and an outcome from this line of enquiry will not be known until Wednesday morning.

So far there has been no arrest.
