Heather is a ONE News reporter based in Wellington. Her rounds are transport, consumer affairs, arts and entertainment and business.

She joined the Wellington newsroom in October 2007 and before that worked for 18 months as a reporter with RadioLIVE.

Heather has an Arts degree majoring in Political Science from Auckland University. She says she headed into her studies with no clear idea of a career path but found she was fascinated by the relationship between the media and politicians. After a chance week's worth of work experience in a Wellington TV newsroom she was hooked.

Heather says journalism's the kind of job she could do for the rest of her life. Every day is a crash course in a new subject and that keeps the job interesting. The real hazard of the job is wardrobe wearing heels for a day at court and instead finding yourself climbing fences into muddy paddocks to get the best shot is not ideal, but certainly makes it interesting.

If you have a story idea for Heather, please contact the Wellington newsroom: newswn@tvnz.co.nz or 04 914 5095.
