Gisborne murder accused remanded

  • Name of alleged Gisborne murder victim released

A 30-year-old woman charged with the murder of her partner has been remanded in custody after appearing in the Gisborne District Court today.

Police were called to a house party in Childers Road, Elgin at 10pm Tuesday night where they found a 33-year-old Lawrence Teepa-Moon with stab wounds.

He was taken to Gisborne Hospital but died on arrival.

The woman was arrested in Opotiki yesterday.
