Girl assaulted in Christchurch school

A girl has been assaulted while walking through the grounds of Christchurch school, say police.

The girl, believed to be a teenager, was walking through the grounds of Kendal School towards the Waimairi Cemetery between 10 and 11pm on Monday when she was assaulted by two men.

Both men were described as European, aged 20 to 30 years. One was clean shaven with goatee beard while the other had a beard.

Police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
