The Serious Fraud Office has confirmed it is aware of new allegations against a 71-year-old convicted fraudster.
The allegations against Leicester Monk were revealed on TV ONE's Fair Go tonight.
It is alleged Monk has extracted millions of dollars over the years from people, mostly from vulnerable women.
Monk, who is a convicted fraudster, former bankrupt and current law student, lists himself as "brilliant" and "modest" on his own Facebook page.
"He lies and makes up things to get exactly what he wants," Di Sinclair, one of Monk's victims, told Fair Go.
Sinclair said she gave Monk more than $100,000 in barely a year.
"Leicester caught me at a time when I was extremely down, and I had no self-confidence," Sinclair said.
"He just ensnared me almost, it was extraordinary."
She said Monk showed her a document claiming nearly $12 million in a British bank.
He claimed the money was tied up in a film about a Russian aristocrat who cut the All Blacks to shreds.
Eventually Sinclair's family hired private investigators, whose surveillance photos rapidly revealed where the money she was giving Monk was going - straight to the TAB.
"It was a wonderful moment of revelation for me when I saw these photos, believe me," Sinclair said.
The investigation also discovered Monk was jailed 23 years ago for stealing half a million dollars from his employer.
The Serious Fraud Office said it was in communication with police about the allegations about Monk.
