The secret goings-on of the Freemasons are the subject of what will likely be the biggest book of the year.
Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol delves in to the Freemasons' world and follows The Da Vinci Code, which offended many Catholics.
The Da Vinci Code, about Catholics and their secrets, sold 8 million copies, the movie made $750 million and although it was just a story, the church were not happy.
Now, Brown's newest book The Lost Symbol takes aim at Freemasons.
According to Laurence Milton, one of New Zealand's head Freemasons, the first rule of Freemasonry is not to talk about it.
"It's our test of fidelity and test of fraternity and we stick to that," he says.
Milton's been speed-reading Brown's new book - 65 chapters in 24 hours - and says, unlike the church, they think Brown is great. The club, which even has a secret handshake, is happy to be at the centre of the next great Dan Brown debate.
"We are quite happy, it gives us the opportunity to say who we are and to answer questions, because people do have questions about Freemasonry."
