Four rescued from Manukau Harbour

Four people have been rescued off the Manukau Harbour heads after their boat capsized.

The Papakura coastguard found all four people in the water after a mayday call was made just before 5pm Tuesday.

The coastguard lost communication with the boaties and coastguards from Manukau, Papakura and Karekare surf lifesaving club joined the search.

Papakura coastguard took all four back to shore.
