Four people in hospital after south Auckland crash

Four people have been seriously injured after a car crashed into a fence in south Auckland this morning.

Two people have been taken to Middlemore Hospital, while two others have been taken to Auckland Hospital after the car crashed into a tree in Shifnal Drive, Randwick Park, Manukau at about 1.45am.

Emergency services are at the scene with traffic diversions in place at Secretatriat Place and Riverton Drive, until further notice.

The incident is being investigated by the serious crash unit.
