  The government has now revealed the extent of conservation land it plans to mine - around 7,000 hectares which was protected under Schedule 4 of the Minerals Act. Breakfast speaks to Peter Whittall who is the GM of mining of Pike River Coal Ltd, in the West Coast's Paparoa National Park.
