Too much water is creating problems in a popular Pacific holiday destination.

It's believed access to Fiji's Denarau Resort is cut off while the area surrounding Nadi airport is also flooded.

Roads into Nadi are barely passable and dozens have had to flee their homes in villages along the river after it burst its banks.

Two local men drowned trying to cross the floodwaters.

Evacuation centres have been set up in some of the worst-affected towns and Nadi has been placed under an overnight curfew to stop any looting.
