The body of a missing Air New Zealand engineer has been found off the coast of France.

Air New Zealand says a French search and recovery team has found the remains of Murray White.

His was the only body not brought home early in the week, as it had not been located.

The New Zealanders died when an Air New Zealand Airbus A320 crashed at Perpignan in November.

Chief executive Rob Fyfe says the find has come as a huge relief to White's family.

He will travel to France with members of the White family before the end of next week to bring the body of the 37-year-old Aucklander home.
