A 63-year-old man has died after he crashed into a vehicle in west Auckland following a suspected medical event.
The crash happened around 10.20am this morning on Lincoln Rd near Fairdene Rd, Henderson.
Police say the Mitsubishi 4WD crossed the centre line and crashed into a southbound vehicle.
Emergency services tried to perform CPR on the 4WD driver but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
The Police Serious Crash Unit will be investigating the crash but police say early investigations suggest that a medical event led to the 4WD crossing the centre line.
