A man who has been charging tourists for photographs of him with a makeshift moko scribbled on his face, has been told to move on from his pitch in Auckland.
John Kairau has been doing a brisk trade on the waterfront, charging $5 for photos of him dressed in traditional Maori costume.
He says people are only too happy to meet an authentic Maori, and learn about the culture.
But Tourism Auckland has branded him an opportunist.
