Events set to take place on Sunday are being cancelled due to the tsunami warning resulting from the 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile on Saturday night.
Cancellations so far:
Auckland
Fullers has cancelled its Waiheke, Devonport, Rangitoto
and Half Moon Bay ferries between 10 and 11am.
The Cathay Pacific half marathon and 11k race, starting at Orakei
Reserve.
The
Onetangi Beach Races on Waiheke Island have been
postponed until Sunday 14 March.
Hawke's Bay
Hawke's Bay Multisport Club's Ironkids Duathlon - check the club's

information.
Wellington
The dragonboat racing event on Wellington Harbour has been
cancelled as a safety precaution. For further details please
contact the Wellington City Council
Also cancelled in Wellinton is a mass nude photo shoot planned in Breaker Bay beach at 8am. More than 100 people were expected to take part.
Meanwhile, transport services across the country have also been affected by the warnings .
