Family members, friends and crew of the people killed in the Erebus disaster have gathered to remember the tragic accident 32 years ago today.

Wreaths were placed at the memorial garden at Auckland International Airport this afternoon, and photographs were taken.

The crash on November 28, 1979, killed 237 passengers and 20 crew members.
