Hamilton police are hunting two armed offenders who broke into the home of an elderly man and robbed him Tuesday night.

The 72-year-old victim was held up at gunpoint and forced to hand over jewellery, cash and bank cards.

He was tied up and his stolen cards used to obtain money from an ATM at Te Rapa Shopping Centre, in north Hamilton.
