A three-month police drug operation in Central Otago has led to the arrest of eight people.
Police assisted by the armed offenders squad executed 11 search warrants in the Queenstown, Glenorchy and Cromwell areas on Tuesday morning.
The searches led to the arrests of eight people on a variety of drug dealing and firearms charges.
Four were due to appear in Invercargill District Court on Wednesday, while the four others had been bailed to appear in Queenstown District Court on June 15.
The operation related to the sale and supply of class a, b and c controlled drugs.
