High profile New Zealand fashion designers will join global acts and emerging talent at this year's iD Dunedin Fashion Week.

Two shows will be held on the Southern Hemisphere's longest catwalk at Dunedin's historic railway station on Friday March 30 and Saturday March 31, following a week-long celebration of fashion events in the city.

Chairperson Susie Staley says the 13th annual show offers fresh, new designers alongside many longstanding Kiwi favourites.

Staley says 18 participating labels selected to show their winter collections include many of Dunedin's much-loved designers alongside some of the hottest new labels in the country.

Long standing show favourites return including Nom*D, Carlson, Mild Red, Charmaine Reveley and Company of Strangers. DADA Vintage and Vaughan Geeson will also return to this year's line-up.

Two of New Zealand's most exciting young labels, RUBY and Liam, will show at iD for the first time.

Fashion editor Dan Ahwa says the collections can make a much needed impact on the very long catwalk at the Dunedin Railway Station.
