  • Cyclist dies in Dunedin crash

The cyclist killed in a crash on Cumberland Street in Dunedin yesterday has been identified by police.

He was 34-year-old Dr LiHong He, also known as Chris.

Police indicated yesterday it was thought He had swerved to miss an open car door and was hit by a truck.

The truck driver was unaware of the accident and continued north, but was later stopped by Police.

Senior Sergeant Steve Aitken said investigations were continuing into the crash.

He leaves behind a wife and two young children.
