Donna-Marie Lever - Source: Close Up
Donna-Marie Lever returned to ONE News in March 2010 after working on Close Up for two years.
She previously worked on ONE News for four years until 2008.
Donna-Marie trained in Wellington to gain a Diploma in Commercial Broadcasting and also studied at the BBC in radio journalism and at CNN Headquarters in Atlanta.
Career highlights to date include coverage of the Asian Boxing Day Tsunami in Phuket and Banda Aceh, the East Timor conflict and being part of CNN's International Professionals Programme sharing ideas with a dozen other journalists from around the world.
Donna-Marie's work in East Timor in June 2006 won her Best Reporter at the Qantas Television Awards.
She is also a multi-award winner for her work in radio, both as a journalist and a newsreader. She spent nine years at commercial radio stations in New Zealand, Switzerland and London before joining TVNZ.
Personally, Donna-Marie loves the arts and good old Kiwi
Sauvignon Blanc.
