Digger falls on person in the Coromandel

A digger has fallen onto a person at a popular holiday spot on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Emergency services are currently tending to the patient at the scene in Simpsons Beach, just off Wharekaho Road.

The incident occurred shortly before 10.00pm.
