At Christmas parties, in malls and on parade floats, the demand for the man in the big red suit is heating up.
It's a potentially hazardous environment, and taking a good snap is a must. But that's all part of the job description of being Santa.
Recruitment agencies nation wide have been searching for the perfect Saint Nick.
"Ideally i think a good Santa has some of that sort of granddad quality," says Ian Harcourt, of The Improvisers.
There never seems to be any shortage of work around the festive season for Santa.
"All year long I wait for this time and my job is to do it better every year cos' there's always more children coming along," he says.
While Santa's employment agency may be picky, the real audience believes his main qualification should be coming up with the goods.
However not all Santa's are the distribution business.
"(We do) everything from MC'ing events to doing a Santa murder mystery to times where we just turn up to a corporate Christmas," says Harcourt.
