A teenage boy accused of murdering a girl in Northland last November has had his trial date confirmed.
The boy, whose name remains suppressed, was just 14 when he allegedly indecently assaulted and murdered 15-year-old Liberty Templeman in Kerikeri.
He appeared again in the High Court at Whangarei on Thursday morning.
The public gallery was filled with family and supporters of the Templemans.
Liberty's parents Andrew and Rebecca, and brother Billy, who now live in Auckland, were in the front row, and stared intently at the accused when he was led into the dock.
His trial has been set down for three weeks, beginning February 8th next year.
