New Zealand Fashion Week threw open its doors to the public with a giant garage sale that attracted hundreds.

More than 40 designers had set up shop in Auckland offering their couture pieces at greatly reduced prices.

This is the front line in the battle for a bargain and ONE News' Lisa Owen and a cameraman braved the hordes.
