A Christchurch aviation security officer was attacked in her car on Wednesday night by a group of boy racers.
The lone female officer was making routine checks at the back of an industrial area near the airport in a marked Aviation Security Service vehicle when she came across a mob of 150 boyracers.
Aviation Security service head Mark Everitt says "I think that was the scariest moment for her, when they clearly intimidated her and stopped her escape by blocking her in with other vheicles, she was completely covered in glass, it was through her hair and through her uniform and that situation is unacceptable to me."
The woman managed to get away and call for assistance.
Police are investigating and the shaken officer is being given
support.
