Catherine Wedd - Source: ONE News
Catherine Wedd is back in the ONE News Wellington newsroom after spending two years working for BBC World in London.
Before joining TVNZ in January 2005 she worked for NewstalkZB in Wellington and Radioworks in Palmerston North.
Catherine graduated from Canterbury University with a Law degree and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science. She also completed a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism at Auckland University of Technology.
While reporting foreign news for the BBC, Catherine covered a wide range of world events, including the 2008 US elections, the Russia-Georgia War and the Zimbabwe elections.
Catherine loves to travel and is a keen sportswoman. She says she enjoys the spontaneity of reporting as she never knows where she will be from one day to the next and who she will meet.
