Car, tanker collide in Karangahake Gorge

The Karangahake Gorge in the Bay of Plenty has re-opened after being blocked on Monday morning, after a car and a tanker collided.

The crash happened two kilometres west of the rest area .

Police are still assessing the victims but initial reports suggest there are no life threatening injuries.
