Car crashes into power pole in New Plymouth

A car has crashed into a power pole in Waiwhakaiho in New Plymouth causing some power outages in the area.

The driver struck a power pole, bringing it down, on Devon Road.

Emergency services, as well as the local power company, are working to fix the outage.

The road has been reduced to one lane to allow for emergency service to operate.

Police report that the driver has received no serious injuries.
