The family of an innocent bystander killed by street racers says the sentence for one of the drivers is too light.

Arron Chan's family was at court to see 30-year old Warren Hughes sentenced to two years three months in jail for the November 2007 incident.

Hughes was on bail when his car collided with another he was racing, then into delivery man Arron Chan, killing him.

The other driver involved in the crash will stand trial later this year.
