A 10-year-old boy has died after being found under a quad-bike on a farm in Wairarapa this morning.
Emergency services were called to south Wairarapa address around 10am where the boy was found under a quad bike, senior sergeant Rob Rackliff of the Wairarapa police says.
"CPR was performed at the scene, but sadly the boy was deceased. Inquiries so far indicate that the boy had gone out on the quad bike and was found by his father a short time later," Rackliff said.
Serious crash investigators are completing a scene examination at the Kahutara Road address in Featherston.
"Victim Support and police are currently providing support to the family at this difficult time," he said.
The name of the deceased boy will not be released until all family members have been advised.
The boy's death has been referred to the Coroner.
