Body of missing Levin man found

  • Levin man missing for more than a week

The body of a missing man was found yesterday in a forestry area on the outskirts of Levin.

Luke Rickett had not been heard from since April 15, when he left his home after lunch following an argument with family members.

Detective Sergeant Sarn Paroli, Horowhenua CIB, said the 21-year-old was found in part of the Kohitere Forest, east of Levin, by a group of the young man's friends who were searching for him.

Police said family members have been advised. A post mortem will be held today and the death referred to the coroner.
