The body of a fisherman who went missing in Wellington Harbour this afternoon has been found.
Two men in their forties were fishing around 50-75 metres off-shore from Hutt Road when the dinghy they were fishing from sank around 3.30pm.
One of the men was able to swim ashore, but the other male failed to surface and was found dead by rescue teams two hours later.
Neither of the men are believed to have been wearing life jackets.
Police believed the dinghy had flipped as sea conditions in the harbour today were calm.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
