Police have confirmed that a body found in the Clutha River yesterday is that of missing teenager Blake Sinclair.
Sinclair, 18, of Clydevale, went missing after falling from a kneeboard on January 12.
Senior Sergeant Richard Whitmore said that a body was located by searchers about 9.30am yesterday morning.
"The body was located in willows on an island which is above the Balclutha bridge, approximately 14 kilometres from where Mr Sinclair was last seen," he said.
Sinclair's family has previously thanked everyone involved in the search for their son.
"To all of the specialist services, volunteers and our local community, the support and efforts both on the river and at home are greatly appreciated," they said.
A post-mortem examination will be undertaken and the case will be referred to the coroner.
