Formal identification of the two bodies found underneath a Christchurch house, is set to get underway on Tuesday.
There were emotional scenes on Monday night, as the second body
was removed from the Wainoni house.
It is believed the body is that of missing woman Tisha Lowry, who
lived a couple of doors away from the Wainoni property.
Friends and family of 28-year-old Lowry, who went missing almost a year ago, performed a haka as the body was moved.
Relatives, including her mother Tanya Lowry and sister Leanne Hodder, held each other for support as the body was loaded into a hearse.
Lowry's aunt, Joanne Paul, told The Press the family were too distressed to comment and "just want to be left alone".
A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of the first body, that of his wife.
He had reported her missing last weekend.
Both bodies were buried under the floor of the two-storey home,
accessed through a manhole in a cupboard under the stairs.
Police are now waiting for confirmation of the second woman's identity.
Meanwhile, police are funding temporary accommodation for the family whose home adjoins the murder scene.
Jason Hall and his family live in the adjoining home but had to move out last week, saying the stench and the nightmare were too much to handle.
Christchurch City Council had been looking into offering Hall a council flat on a temporary basis but police have confirmed they have found the family accommodation and are covering the expense.
