Cellphone records and contacts from the Bebo social networking site featured on day seven of the trial of Dean Stewart Cameron, charged with the murder of Papanui teenager Marie Davis.
The 15-year-old girl's friends have earlier told the trial about their discussions on internet safety and concerns about on-line contacts.
Evidence was given in court by one person who had been in contact with Davis through Bebo, and a statement was read from another person.
Both said that although they had contacted her through the site, they had never met her, and had never been to her home.
The trial of 39-year-old road worker Cameron is in its second week before Justice Lester Chisholm and a jury in the High Court at Christchurch, Christchurch Court News website reported.
Police on Wednesday produced the spreadsheet showing the record of telephone calls for several addresses and cellphones associated with the inquiry.
Detective Valyn Barrett of the Papanui CIB told the court of taking a statement from Cameron five days after Davis disappeared in April last year.
Cameron said he had met her several times when Davis visited her friend who lived at the same house where he was living, but they had only ever said, "Hi".
He said he was a beneficiary and fixed cars in his spare time. He liked jogging, walking, swimming, and playing Xbox. He did not smoke and only drank moderately. He did not take drugs other than cannabis which he used rarely.
He said he was in bed at home on the night the girl disappeared from her house, which was not far from where he lived. He said he got up and went out without seeing anyone next morning.
During the day he went to a school to kick a soccer ball around for about an hour, visited a friend's house to watch movies, and might have gone to the airport to watch the planes.
Detective Barrett said Cameron, who was being interviewed as a witness, was vague and said he was not sure about the details.
Cameron denies charges of raping and murdering the teenager.
