Avondale student admits stabbing teacher

A 17-year-old Auckland high school student has admitted stabbing a teacher, early this year.

Tae Won Chung, pleaded guilty in the Auckland District Court, to a charge of injuring with intent.
  
The Avondale College student stabbed his Japanese language teacher, David Warren in the back, as he wrote on a whiteboard.
 
Warren was rushed to hospital, with life threatening injuries, but survived the attack.
 
Chung has been remanded on electronic bail, until sentencing in July.
