Auckland health officials are cautiously optimistic the worst of the measles outbreak may be over.
There have been 111 confirmed cases of measles in the region so far.
Medical Officer of Health Dr Richard Hoskins says during the outbreak, there has been an average of 25 cases confirmed every fortnight.
He says in the past two weeks, that has dropped to seven cases.
Hoskins says it will take four weeks with no new cases, before the measles outbreak is considered over.
The outbreak saw an increase in parents rushing to get their children immunised.
The Ministry of Health's immunisation manager, David Wansbrough, said based on vaccine distribution figures, there has been a "significant increase" in demand for the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine across the country.
"The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the situation to ensure there is sufficient vaccine supply to meet demand, " he said.
Health authorities renewed calls for children to get immunised after the January and July outbreaks.
