Police are searching for two balaclava-clad men who robbed a south Auckland superette at gunpoint.
The men, one with a firearm, the other with a large knife, demanded money from the Wordsworth Superette in Wordsworth Rd, Manurewa about 7.15am.
"Both males have then fled the store with an amount of money," Detective Sergeant Colin Higson said.
"They have run along Wenlock Place and through an alleyway to an awaiting vehicle parked in Arnwood Avenue. This vehicle was driven by a third person."
Both men were described as Maori or Polynesian and in their late teens.
One was about 1.6m tall, of slim build and wearing black clothing and a black bandana with white spots.
The second was shorter than his colleague and wore a dark brown, long sleeved round-neck shirt and black pants.
They fled in what police called a distinctive grey coloured older style five-door hatchback, similar to a Toyota Corolla or Ford Telstar.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
