The jury in the Taito Philip Field bribery and corruption trial is down to 10 after another juror was discharged on Wednesday.
Justice Rodney Hansen discharged the juror in the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday morning.
His decision followed information from the Crown that the trial, would take at least two weeks longer than the scheduled 12 weeks.
"Having heard yesterday the circumstances of one of your members, I have made the decision he should be discharged and this trial should continue with 10 jurors," Justice Hansen said.
He did not give his reasons for discharging the juror.
The original jury foreman was discharged in April before any evidence was heard.
Field, a former Labour and independent MP, faces 12 bribery and corruption charges alleging he got Thai nationals to work for him in exchange for help with immigration issues.
He also faces 23 charges alleging he attempted to obstruct or pervert the course of justice during an inquiry into the corruption allegations held by Noel Ingram, QC, and to a subsequent police inquiry.
